Outreach in Haiti – Go WELS!

This is the best WELS Connection video I have ever seen.   Note how this WELS Pastor is playing Haitian praise music by drumming on a 5 gallon pail!  I just love to see our Missionaries using music that is culturally relevant to the people that they are trying to reach.  This is going to be effective!!!

    Thanks for sharing, Steve. I didn’t realize all the WELS Connection videos and Closeups were on the WELS site. I plan on sharing them monthly on my blog and Epiphany’s Facebook. Good stuff!

    This is probably the best WELS Connection I’ve ever seen too, though for a different reason. Baptism brought 60 people into God’s family. There’s no guarantee music will be effective, but the water & the Word are always effect. And we literally saw God at work in the video here through baptism! Of course God is effective.

    A clarification too: Pastor Schultz was called from the ELS to serve the WELS mission in Haiti, so its not just go WELS. And since its God working through baptism anyway, its really, “Go God.” ;-)
