M: You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit—fruit that will last. Then the Father will give you whatever you ask in my name. (Jn 15:16 – The words of Jesus)
M: Though we are small in number; we are indeed a chosen people.
C: The Lord did not set his affection on you and choose you because you were more numerous than other peoples, for you were the fewest of all peoples. (Dt 7:6)
M: You have all been chosen and predestined according to His will.
C: In him we were also chosen, having been predestined according to the plan of him who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of his will (Eph 1:11)
M: We ought always to thank God for you, brothers loved by the Lord, because from the beginning God chose you to be saved through the sanctifying work of the Spirit and through belief in the truth. (2 Thess 2:13)
C: When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, what is man that you are mindful of him, the son of man that you care for him? (Ps 8:3-4)

C: we are a royal priesthood,
M: (You are) a holy nation,
C: We are people belonging to God,
M: You may declare the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. (1 Peter 2:9)
