Be Still!

Be Still!

Be still!
That’s your function.
Be still, and know that I am God! – Ps 46:10
That’s God’s advice to us.
Be still and know.
Two verbs; “still” and “know” – both passive.

The emphasis is on “be” and not “do”.
So…
Be still rather than worry.
Be still rather than running around.
Be still rather than argue.
Be still rather than talk.
Be still when the world seems to revolve around you.
Be still and think.
Be still and pray.
Be still to hear the Spirit.
Be still and contemplate.
Be still and just breathe.
Just be still and take a moment.
Relax and let God be God. He does it well.
Find the time to be still.
Be still and know that you aren’t God.
Be still and know that your employer can carry on without you.
Be still and chill.
Be
Still!
God is in charge.
Nothing, I repeat, nothing happens without His awareness.
Be still.
