I’m Just One

I’m Just One
by Bobby Brown

“I beseech you brethren by the mercies of God, be not conformed to the world around you, but rather be transformed in your renewed mind.” – Romans 12:1

I’m just one in ten
Where movement is expected
Where stillness is legal
And individuality is rejected

I’m just one in one hundred
Where conformity is the rule
Where creativity is naughty
Where the intuitive is a fool

I’m just one in one thousand
Where I’m lost in a crowd
Where noise is the norm
And where silence is loud

I’m just one in one million
Where I’m one in the herd
Where I’m really just a number
Where a poem is absurd
