About Me – the Author!
I currently author three different blogs, each with a different audience and focus:

  2. The Messiah Lutheran Church BLOGhttp://melcblog.wordpress.com.  This is a blog that is primarily written for members of my local church and is fed to our church’s website but over time it has garnered subscribers from all over the world.  It is mostly a devotional blog and sometimes is also used to discuss events at the church.
  3. The Seated Above BLOGhttp://SeatedAbove.wordpress.com.  This is a blog that I run for my brother, Bob Brown, who is also a Christian author of poetry books.  This website contains mostly his poetry and postings are sporadic and as the Spirit moves.
I have two published articles which can be viewed here:

  1. Excellect work! Thank you for your willingness to share it!

I have a web site where I try to encourage the sharing of good work among those in ministry in the WELS – seelsorger.org. Would you consider becoming a contributor?

  2. Hi Steve. Thank you for this blog. I have had some good reads here and I appreciate you sharing. I also have a favor to ask of you and it would be wonderful if you could send me an email.

Thanks again for the good work you do here.

  3. I came across the blog this morning while searching for a particular song, and I haven’t stopped reading! It’s a blessing that you’re willing to share this with us. Thank you so much!

  4. Great website! Please consider listing my website as a resource for those planning worship. I am a retired United Methodist minister offering, without charge, professionally designed worship images. I noticed you used one of the images from the Gallery on our website. Please see http://www.churchpowerpoint.com. Could you let me know if/when/where you are providing a link? Thank you. Dorothy Okray

  5. spurgeon and lewis quotes ?

When did they convert and become confessional lutheran in their understanding of the bible?

when did we use up all our genuine lutheran quotes that now we have to resort to the likes of them?

    spurgeon / lewis
their confession was so different I wont like my lutheran pastor quoting them .And i just may object openly and loudly in the service if he tries.

  6. Oh, thank you! I was so surprised (and thrilled) to see a Wels blog on “blended” worship. I’m the Music Director at our Wels church, Bloomington Living Hope out of Bloomington/Shakopee, MN. We use what we call “blended” worship as well. Came upon your blog as I was trying to come up with Epiphany ideas. Thanks for the reminder about “Offering” by Paul Baloche…. 🙂

  7. Hey do you have any videos of your services? Would love to see! Great job and THANK YOU for this blog! – Mark Gates Prince of Peace – Houston
